About Us

Highland Heritage are a Scottish based furniture and carpentry business with over 25yrs of experience.  Our small but dedicated team of master carpenters are capable of building just about anything from wood, from bespoke inlay tables to post and beam structures to grand staircases.  Here, our craftsmen have turned their attention to high quality furniture combining traditional joinery techniques with some cutting edge machinery.  We operate on the beautiful Dunecht Estate in Aberdeenshire and supply to a UK-wide audience.  Our focus is on local and sustainably sourced hardwoods, particuarly Elm, Oak, Beech and Ash, as well as dilligently sourced reclaimed materials where available.  We believe in fair prices for our products that respect the values of our customers as well as honouring the effort of our master carpentry team.  We aim to build a sustainable business where the intrinsic beauty of our raw material is shared by all.  Unique to our business is the end to end stewardship of our raw materials.  The trees we use, supplied by the Estate, milled using our own sawmill, kiln dried in our vacuum kiln and turned into your furniture.  Complete end-to-end ownership where traceability is assured.

Dave Lynch - Oak Greenhouse

Amazing….  Guy’s use of materials has really impressed us.  This build has been about quality from start to finish and the customer engagement has been superb.   His ability to really extract what we wanted from the structure has meant we have a space that isn’t simply a greenhouse, but also some where to take a quick G&T as the sunlight fades.  And it’s true when he says that the greenhouse has now really made us reassess the rest of our garden space and look to improve that to bring it up to the same standard!

Hamish Matheson

There's something a bit magical about our table from HHW. It's has a presence and a warmth we weren't expecting, like it's been with our family for ever.
